Is your pet travelling?

Holidays abroad are the highlight of the year for many families. A bit of sunshine and the chance to relax, provide a welcome break from the daily routine! If you’d like to take you beloved pet on holiday with you, a pet passport is essential.

Pet passports enable you to travel with your pet into the EU without having to undergo quarantine. They can be issued for cats, dogs and ferrets. In order to obtain a pet passport, your pet must be microchipped, have a rabies vaccination, and then wait 21 days until travel. To re-enter the UK your pet must be wormed by a vet 24-120 hours (1-5 days) before your return. Rabies vaccinations can be given from 12 weeks of age.
